I already picked up my first shape surfboard few weeks ago and tried it few times. The board worked better than I thought(but it is still weird though) and had some fun! I already ordered new blank. I can not wait to shape a new one! 5'6" 18"x 22"x 17" x ?"

Last weekend I drove down south with my daughter to pick up some goods at Moonlight Glassing.

A 6'3" Mandala Tri plane hull and New Bohemia Skywalker board bag! Both hand made in north county San Diego. The board works great and the bag is so nice! What can I ask for more! Thanks Mani and Erika! So stoked! 

And we had some food...

Overall we had a great weekend!

Fish Fry Japan

These boards are gone to Japan. You can check them out at Fish Fry Japan 2009. The Chip template 22" x 6"x 4.5" , the Fish template 20" x 5.5" x 4". Cadillac 56's and Tracker Mid 85mm.

Both planks are made from Oak and Maple wood glued with epoxy

This is what I did last weekend. Its a raw 5'6" Giant Squid that I will ride in the ocean...It has hull bottom and S-deck I guess . and It will get the Glass on twin keel fins. This was my first surfboard shaping ever, so I know it is not great, but I really enjoyed shaping it. I enjoyed sanding too much.... I think I need more volume... Anyways I took it to the Pure Glass, Costa Mesa today.  Should be getting it in 2 weeks. I hope it is going to float! SHAKA!

Double Bump Moon Tail cruiser, 31" x 8.5" 8.5 Indy and 60mm Rat Bones 85A for smooth ride. Available at Shelter Surfshop.

I changed the design a bit and built with Tracker Dart 85mm and 56mm Cadillac wheels.

It is easy to ride with tail kick and the plank seems strong enough so I just started making one like this. Stoked!!
